If the weather is not looking good and we need to postpone, details will be on our Facebook page early that morning.
Foster Hope - Personal Care/Toiletries Drive for September 2017
Following on from our extremely successful PJ Drive for Foster Hope in April, the team at Finman's are delighted to announce our continuing support for Foster Hope Wellington. During the month of September 2017 we are doing a 'Toiletries/Personal Care Drive' to help out foster kids during their time of need.
Team Finman's are collecting toiletry items for babies through to teens, - such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower gels, soaps, shampoo, deodorants, etc. We would love... you to join us by dropping any of these items into our office at 44 Ihakara Street, Paraparaumu during September.
Foster Hope NZ is a National Charity that provides backpacks full of items for children going into care, simple items such as pj's, toiletries, a toy, book etc. These children are arriving into the homes of strangers, sometimes at night, and it can be an extremely traumatic time for them.
Finman's Paraparaumu Beach Ladies Open Golf Day
Finman Services recently sponsored the Paraparaumu Beach Ladies Open Golf Day. Below is an article from the Golf Club on the successful day.
Brilliant sunshine, no wind and a clear winter's day welcomed over 90 lady players to the annual FINMAN Paraparaumu Beach Ladies Open on Saturday.
The winners were Paraparaumu members, Christine and Ashleigh Shum. Ashleigh has just returned from overseas and played an exceptional game with her mother. Ladies' Captain, Peta Rogers, said the day was a great success with visitors from right around the region from the Wairarapa to Miramar.
"The prize table was one of the best in the region, with great thanks to the very generous sponsorship from FINMAN. This is a great attractant to potential players - as well - of course - as the world famous Paraparaumu Beach Golf course," she said.
Runners up were Audrey Rigby and Fiona McPhee from Otaki. Lauren Swan and Sue Dore were in third place.
Get2Go Nationals - Kapiti College
to the Get2Go Team from Kapiti College who are competing in the Nationals,

multi-sport racing and problem solving, with events such as kayaking, trail

Island and Survivor, all rolled into one fun event.
Kapiti College team won the Lower North Island event in August this year and
have been training really hard ever since to prepare themselves for this week
long competition. The team consists of
Year 9 and 10 students and they started training for Get2Go back in May this
Raumati South Halloween Gala October 2016
On behalf of the Raumati South School Gala Committee, I'd like to once again thank Finman Services for their generous donation towards our school gala. Our Halloween Gala was very successful. The weather was perfect and it was wonderful to see so many people from our school and the wider community coming together for the day. A proportion of the donation from Finman Services was put towards prizes for a number of games including the very popular Dunny Throw and Spider in a Hay Stack.
The Haunted House in our school hall was a highlight of the event, we were lucky enough to have some Weta Workshops props and volunteers who put it all together for us.
Thanks you again for your generous support.

Liam Perry - Sponsorship
Finman is delighted to help Liam reach his goals! Here is a bit more about Liam and what he is striving to achieve.
Kapiti BMX rider, Liam Perry, has been selected as part of a 4 man team to race in the NZ team at the' Junior Men Elite' level at the BMX World championships in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in July. The World Championships run from July 23-27, with Liam up against 96 riders in the class.
Liam is the first ever rider in the Wellington region to compete at Junior Men Elite level and therefore the first rider in the Wellington region to be selected to ride at the World Championships at this level. Liam opted to try his luck at Junior Elite level this year, rather than age grade, to test himself at the highest level possible, as his goal is to ride professionally. That meant a tough qualifying process, with just four spots available, including trials and qualifying events in Australia and the New Zealand Easter nationals.
Unlike his previous three World Championship age group outings, Liam will be competing against riders up to two years his senior in Rotterdam. Being selected as a 'first year' Junior Elite is a huge honour but will be very demanding and challenging as he will still be 16 years of age when he competes and will be racing against riders up to two years his senior. He will be riding off an eight metre ramp instead of a five metre ramp, which is really high and quite daunting.
|Touch NZ Junior National Championships
Finman Services sponsored Georgina Maud, helping her team to get to the Touch NZ Junior National Championships. Over the three day tournament, Georgina's team, the Kapiti-Horowhenua U17 Girls, came 9th - and had an absolutely amazing time too.
